Open folding-arm awnings: simple and elegant sun protection from markilux.
An open folding-arm awning does not have a cassette at all. Thus, with this awning model, the mechanism and roller tube are unprotected and openly visible even when retracted. Therefore, an open folding-arm awning is an ideal choice when the structure is sufficiently protected from the weather by the architecture – for example, by a canopy or roof overhang.
Installation and Fixture Types
Similar to the full cassette awnings, a large selection of optional and model-dependent equipment is also available for our open awnings. For example, you can also order your custom-made open folding-arm awning in an electric version with a (radio) motor and various remote controls and sensors. Wall, rafter or ceiling mounting is possible for the open markilux awnings.
Swivel Mechanism
When retracted, the awning disappears under the ceiling. Only when extended does the open folding-arm awning markilux 930 tilt to the desired angle.
Terrace Awnings in the Stretch Variant
Narrow terraces require narrow awnings. In order not to have to do without large draws, two crossing arms allow large draws with small widths.
Optional Pitch Adjustment Gear
Change the inclination of your awning conveniently by winding handle. Angles from 4° to 85° are possible.

Installation and Fixture Types
Markilux cassette awnings were designed for use as sun protection. They provide shade on terraces, balconies, roof terraces or open spaces. In light rain, cassette awnings are suitable for use as patio covers. A protected space is created under the stretched awning cover. In addition to UV and rain protection, the extended awning cover also stores the heat of the day in the evening.
